Collect information about installed software and its licenses using inventory tools.
GLPI, System Center .... You never know what and what you have there;)

How to find out if pirated software is installed on the PC?
Elementary.
We find the installed software - we are looking for a license for it, if not found, it means pirated, if found, then legal.

This is done in a complex way, inventory of software on machines, collection of registration / activation status and keys (sometimes this is possible). And then reconciliation with documents. That is: to collect a list of installed software, with reference to a PC and a user, and then take accounting documents and compare the number of licenses (they do not have to be paid, but they must be put on the "balance").

We are looking for in the 1c database from accountants what was purchased from the software.
It is unlikely that you have a domain, but if you can, then System Center
If you do not have a domain, it will be faster to install the fusioninventory agent and the GLPI server for it
next time it will be easier

We go to the place where the contracts are stored and look for those that are related to software. In the Russian Federation, this is for the most part (however, mentioned above) and there is everything that is really required.
If the software is open source, you must have a translation of the license. And so are legal documents. In theory, self-developed software also needs documents, but they won’t dig into you for it.
Yes, if there is some ideal_software_2.11 software, then you need docks for it, regardless of its openness and freeness.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
