How to find out how much RAM was installed in a laptop?
I bought a laptop a little over a year ago. Worked well, no complaints. Today, just out of the blue, turned off. I was not personally present at this shutdown. He has a 12-month warranty, and he worked for exactly 13 months, it was decided to diagnose and repair on his own. He does not respond to any actions. Just died. After opening the case, it was found that only one connector for RAM was soldered on the motherboard. While on the box, documents and the seller's website it says 6 GB of RAM. I myself remember that in the properties of the Windows system it was written that 6 GB of memory was installed. I've never seen 6 GB sticks in my life.
With a hard drive in hand, can I find out how much Windows itself determined the installed memory? And if I can, how?
