There are 3 main restrictions - processor support, number of slots and bios. Mobile processors usually do not support more than 32 GiB (if you look at the top core i7 / i5 gen 5; before that it was 16). Often the maximum amount of RAM supported by the processor only works on two slots (i.e., with support for 16, you can put two bars of 8, but not one 16).
Well, the most eccentric thing is the restriction in the BIOS, which normal manufacturers do not practice (and who practices, one should expect other tricks from iron).
The normal option is to find reviews of those who set it (yes, not all bars can work in a mode not recommended by the manufacturer). Or just try to put and see how much is determined.
What makes you think that aida knows your hardware better than its manufacturer? Never in my life have I seen a case where you can use more memory than the manufacturer promises.
Focus only on off documentation.
