How to find out a domain name by IP address in a local network?

The firewall blocks requests from an address from the local network, I would like to know its domain name in order to determine what kind of computer it is.

@074909

But what if the problematic host did not register in DNS for some reason, or is there a manually created record containing outdated/incorrect data?
Try on some host in the same local network segment as the x.x.x.x address of interest:
nbtstat.exe -a x.x.x.x

@worjol

Try "ping -a 192.168.1.1"
without quotes and substitute your ip
