How to fill out a portfolio?

I am studying Web Design. I read books, took a course, lessons on YouTube, etc. Now I am tuned in to practice, that is, filling out a portfolio. But since I don’t take orders, I don’t know what to fill. Where to get TK layouts? Designers, tell us how and with what you filled out your portfolio at the very beginning of the "path"?

There is a popular method - to fill the portfolio with logos and layouts for fictitious companies.

There are a lot of psd layouts on the net, both for shops and blogs,
take a few and make them and you can also place them for an example of your layout in the "My Works" item

In addition to SmInc 's answer - here's a way to eat a fish and f*ck... combine business with pleasure. Register on the discons, I advise 99designs.com on my own - they really pay there. Enter contests, complete tasks - here's the material for your portfolio, and if you're lucky, you'll also win money (I repeat, money is really paid there).
Not all guys have the audacity to get into the industry with near-zero knowledge and an empty portfolio (unlike me in my time :)), so contests are a great compromise.
