How to extract music from an unknown file format?
There is a file - rapidshare.com/files/835778267/001.sc , its title is very similar to a regular wave, but it does not play. WinRipper extracts one wav file, but it doesn't play either. How to extract music from this file?

Wave is a container format for audio of any format, including compressed by any lossy codec.
I'm not sure, but I think it's streaming audio, since bytes 5-8 contain 00 00 00 00, and should contain the size of the data. Moreover, the size of the chunk is also not indicated (just like 00 00 00 00 after "fmt ")
approx. We look at the format
WORD wFormatTag = 0xFFFE (I have no idea what this code means)
WORD nChannels; = 0x0002, yeah, that's stereo
DWORD nSamplesPerSec = 0xAC44 - sample rate 44100
DWORD nAvgBytesPerSec = 9x3E94 = 16020 bytes, about 128 kilobits.
This is clearly compressed streaming audio. It remains to find out what the 0xFFFE format code is, but I still have no idea how to do it.
Hmm, the author, but play around with the radio. Burn different tracks on a CD, save them in this format, and experiment.
