How to execute a task when a specific USB device is connected?

The task was to perform a certain set of actions when connecting a USB modem. The VBS action script itself already exists, but it’s impossible to embed modem connection tracking into it (I’m a teapot). I found many similar examples for flash drives on the net, but all my attempts to remake them for a modem were unsuccessful. Now I use a bunch of USB Safely Remove + my script, but I want to do everything in one so as not to use third-party utilities. I would be grateful for an example of a VBS script that monitors the connection / disconnection of a specific USB device.

hang up your daemon that monitors usb ports, vendor id + label of the connected volume?
