How to estimate the cost of a WordPress site?
I wouldn't be asking this question if it wasn't a trick. In general, the essence is this: a person for whom he once fulfilled small orders for a long time, recently ordered to make a website. Initially, he had no idea what type / structure the site should be, only the general theme was known. And I, "out of old friendship", had to discuss and select options for the future site for a very long time. As a result, I realized that it would be easiest to just make it on wordpress, with which this person agreed and gave me all the reins of inventing a design / selecting a template / editing a template / installing it on hosting and settings. In short, in fact, I had to literally make a ready-to-use product from scratch. By the way, in the end, the site was supposed to be blog-like, only sharpened for the publication of certain projects and feedback.
BUT, at the same time, I didn’t have any time limits, and, accordingly, there was no specific TK either. The work was more like working on a personal project, only then it would pass into other hands.
The complexity of the work, I don’t think it was very straight forward. Only in the process of work did I have to think over the design for a very long time and spend my time on it, and then almost completely edit the template (mainly layout). Well, in the end, install the whole thing on hosting and configure.
So, the site is ready, but I have no idea how much money to require for work? The lack of time and technical framework confuses me. Googling prices for approximate services does not give anything, they even vary greatly for specific services.
Thank you for your attention.
PS The work was completed in a month and a half, and orders for WordPress had never been completed before.
UPD : unfortunately, I can’t show the site, because patents are being considered for some of its contents and the customer does not want to advertise it yet.

Never again enter into commercial relations with relatives and friends.
In fact, if you didn’t agree, then figure it out yourself. You still didn't expect anything.
Take the monthly salary of the cashier. In the central zone of the Russian Federation, this is about 20 tr.
And it would not be bad to show the site!
in fact, I had to literally make a ready-to-use product from scratch
If you know the exact number of your productive hours, then:
Find out how much salary a programmer at your level has. For example, 75,000, divide it by the number of productive hours. For example, on average it is 5 hours / day * 4 weeks = 100 hours
. So we get the price of an hour 75,000 / 100 = 750 rubles / hour
And multiply the price of an hour by the time spent. The total cost of the project.
There are two options here: the first - so that they never contact you later, and the second - so that they think next time whether it is worth contacting you. The first - 150 tr, the second - 50-80 tr.
Who would know what you did there, maybe the second Toaster or Habr. You can't appreciate what you can't see. One design may differ in zeros. Maybe you took a ready-made template and finalized it, or maybe you made it all up from scratch, moreover, adaptive. Filled with copy-paste articles or wrote themselves. In short, there are many questions. Show the site, business something)
think how much you would like, and from what amount a person will not faint, take it)
Approximately according to the same scenario, I made about a dozen sites on WordPress. Those. information from customers was minimal. I had to invent everything myself. The price tag is from 15k rubles to $1000 (when the buck was still 35r). And this is without special design, i.e. ready slightly modified theme. Online store on the same terms from 30k.
In short, there are a lot of nuances, it all depends on the customer and his needs and financial capabilities.
