How to encrypt wallet.dat?

Hello. There are 2 computers with "bitcoin core"
installed I create an encrypted wallet on 1 computer
I transfer "wallet.dat" to 2 computers
I open "bitcoin core" and it does not ask me for a password when switching to the wallet and I see the

balance am I not doing it right?

This is normal, the balance is visible on the encrypted wallet.
