How to encrypt bash file?

Good afternoon. There is one PU that is no longer supported by the developer. I remade it for new OS versions and I would like to encrypt the installer from plagiarism and other hucksters who pass off someone else's as their own. The installer as you could understand with the extension ".sh", for example "install.sh", well, how can I encrypt it? Thanks for the answer

Excuse me, but how much have you redone in PU so as not to consider you one of those who appropriate other people's developments?
And what about the license?
Well, encrypt via openssl, but since you need to install the software without your personal participation, you will have to put the password there, in the sh file. That is, anyone can decipher with a little strain.

I have no idea what PU is, but the question immediately arises - how was the original licensed? Maybe in general your revision is illegal, because the author of the original did not provide you with such a right :)
