How to encrypt and decrypt files faster?

I don’t need resistant burglary, the main thing is that everything should be fast, what do you advise? Maybe there is a simple program?

Newer versions of WinZIP and WinRAR have optional data encryption. Those who have the key or, perhaps, cryptologists, can decrypt. Early versions of WinZIP encryption were not cryptographically strong and it was possible to guess the password relatively quickly by brute force with a dictionary. New versions use 128-bit AES and 256-bit AES encryption algorithms.
If there is no military secret in the archives, then both programs can be safely used for encryption.
There are also other types of encrypted storage containers. For example TrueCrypt/VeraCrypt (see Wikipedia). Container storage can store both compressed and uncompressed archives, documents, movies, etc. Although the write speed is reduced, it is not necessary to apply compression, which can save processing time when writing / reading files.
