Should I use fscrypt to encrypt my home folder in ubuntu 18.04?

it worth using the above utility for (already running) Ubuntu 18.04? Is there a risk of data loss and is the computer slowing down a lot?

I didn't hear much about fscrypt, but I used LUKS, it seemed to me very miserable (sensitive to power off). The electricity went out during the recording - I lost everything on the partition.

No, now the AES encryption algorithm is supported in processors at the hardware level, there should be no brakes if you use this algorithm.
