How to enable sound in linux mint?
Hello. In general, the problem is rather strange. Mint has no sound. It’s not straight out of the box, that is, I didn’t break anything.
A couple of months ago I put mint at work, there was no sound in it from the box. Strangely, there was sound on the home PC. I poked, I poked, I decided that I didn’t really need the sound. Two months later, I again attempted to fix the sound, tried to collect drivers from the off site, nothing worked. For the sake of experiment, I decided to update everything in the system, including the kernel. The update went through, but everything got crooked, the x server, video, network stopped working normally .. In general, everything broke. Well, it's not scary, there was no important information, I put the mint again, the same. Still no sound.
What can I be doing wrong?
