How to enable java applets in Chrome?

Hello everyone,
1. Installed the latest version of jre
2. Followed the link chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
3. Enabled NPAPI
4. Restarted jsp
sites on GlassFish start (checked at least some kind of java support ), but applets do not (Authorization on the state portal using digital signature is required) At this address www.javatester.org/version.html I see a gray rectangle, does this mean that there is no support?! Help advice good people!

Chrome of the latest version abandoned applets and, it seems, also a flash. It won't work anymore, check applets with a mozilla.
