How to enable forced threshold hibernation on MACOS?
Have Macbook Pro 2010, Intel i5
MacOS High Sierra as of today
Frustrating lack of option to force (during user operation) hibernation/hibernation mode upon reaching a certain percentage of battery, as it happens by default in Windows after reaching what seems to be five percent containers.
Does anyone have knowledge on how to turn this on?
Manual mode is used without problems through the SmartSleep utility.

By itself, the hibernation mode on the Macbook is enabled by default, this does not apply only to very old models, but yours most likely is not included in this list. When zero percent is reached, the Macbook goes into hibernation mode - the state of the system is stored on disk. When connected to the network, you will not lose data and the system will boot in the same state as it was when it was turned off due to lack of charge.
Of course, you can indulge in the terminal or, as you yourself said, SmartSleep.
