How to enable 64bit support in ESXI 5.0 guest VM?

Good afternoon!
There is an esxi server on a desktop machine (asus P8Z77, Core i3-3250 3.5GHz, 6GB RAM).
How to enable 64bit support in a guest virtual machine (for installing windows server 2008)?
I will be very grateful for your help.
PS or tell me analogues of a virtual server similar to esxi, but with 64bit support on a guest VM.

@Joe63

One more clarification, do you have ESXi 5.0 (by the way, with what update?) installed on a physical server, and you need to run W2k8 64bit in it? Or is it already in Windows to raise additional virtual machines?
If in the first option, then there should be no problems, check the version of the virtual machine that is being created (Virtual Machine Version: "for example 8") at the stage of creating the virtual machine.
And what errors do you show?

If you move to vCenter? can this fix the situation?
