How to embellish the truth so that your resume gets noticed and offered an interview?
I hope it's clear what I mean.
I just can't understand hr.
How can I even get into their eyes, otherwise out of 200 of my responses 80 refusals 110 ignores and 10 invitations where there is a clear deception (work for a couple of days and solve this task for us from the WORKING project ).
Of course, I don’t grab stars from the sky and I don’t say that I’m ready for battle.
But just give me a chance to test me. Infuriates.
Z.Y. I won't post a resume. It is not needed to highlight the problem. I only need information on the type of advice, triggers for hr, how to BEAUTY (do not lie. Minimum: how to describe beautifully. Maximum: half-truth.)truth, etc. In any case, I will write a new one on this basis. Since all the crap from the network is useless due to the general uniformity. I'm interested in life experience, "live hacks" that are not too scary to reveal. It will also be a useful article for people like me. Who know the underside of only the words of acquaintances or generally ignorant. Thank you!

Welcome to the harsh reality, where there is huge competition among the juniors - dozens of people for one place, and therefore it is very difficult to find the first job. Embellishments will not help, since everyone does this, and an experienced team leader instantly distinguishes this. Just keep trying to get a job, keep working on professional development, write a showcase pet project, upload a GitHub profile, etc. etc.
Do not write the prefix Junior, just write:
Frontend Developer, Backend Developer, Java Developer, etc
Example, 2011, I get a job in a regular web studio. My knowledge is a drop in the ocean.
The employer requires a strong middle with knowledge: 200+ technologies, and only cleaning the floors in the director's office is not written. I just copied and removed the most crazy. The interview went rather poorly, but due to soft skills, he asked me to give me a chance. As a result, I didn’t sleep for 2 months, absorbing knowledge, after six months I was no worse than others.
Therefore, respond to all vacancies, it will be long, painful. And sooner or later - 2, 3, 4 months - you will be lucky. That is the way.
The essence of the question: "How to embellish a resume that I will not show you."
It is likely that you do not need to decorate your resume, but at least make it readable. But we will never know :)
This is a common theme. Remember one simple rule - the resume must MATCH the vacancy by KEYWORDS.
When there are 100 applications for a vacancy, HR almost never personally read the submitted resumes. They exclusively scan them for the right keywords. That's the whole secret.
Those. your task is to have some kind of resume template from which you will make a special. version for each job you apply for.
Infa cell. Even middle/senior developers often don't get a response if their resume doesn't pass the scan.
If you want guarantees - look for referrals. A person recommended by an employee will almost 100% get an interview.
It happens that getting a job happens by accident. You never know why you were taken out of the blue. I remember hiring for one job as an administrator. There's an interview going on. The local chief specialist will interview me. He restarts the computer, there is a POST test with a bunch of numbers and tables, and he asks jokingly
- Do you know how to have time to read all this?
I
- Yes.
I press the Pause button on the keyboard and the screen freezes. Chel bulged, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets. It turned out that for all his profanity (no jokes) he did not know this simple function. He takes out the phone in front of me, calls the director and says "We'll take it."
Serve further. Nothing to be ashamed of. But keep improving.
Read the job description and compare it to your resume.
10 invitations with 200 resumes sent, unfortunately - the realities of the modern market, especially for novice developers, there are many who want to grab easy money.
By the way, there are a lot of open resumes on the same hh - study them, compare them with yours.
From the general recommendations - list the completed projects with an indication of the technologies used in the projects; if the project is a team one, indicate your role, separately list the studied technologies and frameworks. If the projects are not closed by NDA and are available on the Internet, please attach links.
Of course, I don’t grab stars from the sky and I don’t say that I’m ready for battle.
and then out of 200 of my responses
Do it the way everyone else does: When they ask you if you know how to work in such and such a program, you say that you can, and then just sit and smoke the manual, videos, videos, etc.
