How to edit html templates without being afraid of their overwriting after shopscript update?

The documentation states that template files are located along this path, but it is not recommended to edit them there - \published\SC\html\scripts\templates\ frontend\
I need to change a couple of files from this folder, but as I understand it, if you do it there, they will be overwritten when updating the system.
Please tell me how / where to edit them without fear of overwriting, maybe you need to transfer them to the folder with the template (I tried, it didn’t work, it’s not loaded from my folder, but from the above - maybe I’m not getting the correct final path ...)?
