How to drive versionName metadata like branchName + commit number into APK file?

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
I want to ask you for advice and help. How can I put “commit-number + branch-name” into the apk metadata during assembly in versionName. I used the manual for this article - medium.com/@passsy/use-different-build-numbers-for-every-build-automatically-using-a-gradle-script-35577cd31b19
Combined different classes, nothing happened, then the full hash is sewn in apk-shku it's generally garbage.
