How to draw with an image?

Tried googling but the answers don't quite answer my question. Searched for "How to draw texture?" or "How do I set a texture for a brush?". But all the answers are about the shape of the brush in the end, and instead of having a line drawn with a single color, I want to have a line from the image that I choose, for example, a line of sand with rocks, mountains with snow, or waves with foam. Something like this interests me. How to do?

There is an option:
1. Insert a picture with the desired "texture" on one layer.
2. Create a layer on top of it, paint over it, make the desired shape with an eraser - so the texture will shine through under the background.
3. If you still need to somehow process the inscription, then you can manipulate these two layers through the selection (select), but you need to be careful with the sharpness of the edges (there are additional parameters)

This can be done with a mix brush. Choose a sample from any image and draw with it, both color and texture will be preserved.
In the same way, you can make volumetric inscriptions if you choose a ball, for example, for a sample. It will turn out as if you are writing with squeezed toothpaste))
There are videos on YouTube with a detailed explanation. Search about the possibilities of the mix brush.
