How to download photos from password protected iPad?

Is it possible to somehow access the photo in recovery mode? I don’t remember the password, there were no bindings to iCloud / iTunes, respectively.

In recovery mode - no way.

You can try to connect the iPad via USB to Linux, a separate section should appear and there will be a photo, etc. But I don’t remember if the device will show “Trust” or “Do not trust”.
