How to download heavy sites from debian server?

The question of such a plan, there is a conditional server for 120 GB.
The site weighs 100 GB (a lot of video, audio).
Accordingly, the tar command cannot compress it and download it via sftp, how do you download such sites? just if just by sftp it will be painfully long.

It is possible with the help rsync, it is possible with intermediate archiving ( tar cz > ssh > tar x).
Large files are much less of a problem than, say, hundreds of thousands of small ones. And since audio and video are very poorly compressed, you won’t get much benefit from archiving anyway.

Accordingly, you can’t pack it with the tar command and you can’t download it via sftp

In an adequate site, media content should live in separate directories, therefore audio and video are downloaded separately, the base is separate, and the site code is packaged and downloaded separately.
Or all together via sftp (why not, it's not clear, everything is possible)
or rsync
