How to do a remote reboot (scheme)?
Hello!
I don't know much about circuitry, so I'm asking for advice.
There is an idea to assemble a scheme for remote reboot of the computer. Idea:
We take an old computer with an LPT connector. We write software that supplies + 5v to the desired outputs.
We supply the BC187 transistor from the LPT port + 5V and ground, to the base and emitter, respectively.
The collector and emitter are connected to the mat. board (reset button)
So that's the question. Transistor like 5V. https://www.digchip.com/datasheets/parts/datasheet...
But I can't find the voltage on the reset button. Suddenly there is 3.3v? then the transistor will not work?
Is the correct transistor selected?
