The directory structure may differ, there is no one universal structure used everywhere.
Sometimes root folders of domains are kept in /var/www/vhosts/domainname/httpdocs/, sometimes in /home/username/data/domainname/httpdocs/, depends more on which control panel you use to manage domains, each organizes to your own (and if you set up the server with your hands, then you can set any path in the Apache / nginx config file in the DocumentRoot directive).
