How to display the result of perfmon counters recording?

Something does not work either by typing or by googling, to understand how to work with perfmon.
I do this: in perfmon in the "counter logs" I add new log parameters, specify the time interval for recording counters there, specify the counters, indicate when to stop recording.
Then I manually start recording according to the specified parameters, waiting for the end of the log recording.
I go to the monitor properties, data source, select a file on disk and specify the saved log file. There is an opportunity to choose a period of time, leave the entire interval, press OK.
And that's it, the performance monitor does not show any graphs. Just a blank window where the chart should be. What am I doing wrong?
