How to display result of last command in linux terminal?

Let's say I ran some command, it worked for a very long time, and displayed a long response in the terminal. I decided to grep it, but I don't want to run the command again and wait. And copying with the mouse and pasting into a file is inconvenient or not possible (if there is no GUI)

Not on a regular basis. For such cases, redirect the output to a file

if in tmux, then you can press ctrl + b, [
then search through /
jump through the text as in vim and copy / paste
