How to disable Intel Rapid Storage Technology?
I have a driver on my computer like Intel RST. Linux does not recognize it at all, when trying to dual-boot, it says that it should be disabled. I don't have a RAID, so I don't see any point in this driver. I tried to reinstall Windows - it did not disappear anywhere. Is there any way to remove it without putting the computer at risk?

Delete in programs
Linux somehow does not care what kind of firewood and programs are on Windows. Look for the problem elsewhere
Solution: find and set AHCI in the BIOS
It is not clear what the driver has to do with it and what exactly you are going to disable.
A driver is a program that is installed in the operating system and allows it to interact with the hardware. If you do not want to, do not install the IRST driver in your OS. If you have already installed - you can remove it from the OS.
If you are talking about IRST technology in general, you cannot turn it off. It's just an opportunity. You may use it or you may not. If you want to use put the driver in your OS. If you don't want to use it, don't install it. You can disable this technology in the BIOS.
There are two ways:
1. Try to make Intel RST friends with Linux by choosing a version of the latter that is compatible with the former.
2. In the BIOS, switch the SATA controller mode from RAID to AHCI, but in this case, the Windows will need to be rearranged again, and before switching, do not forget to save all the necessary files.
Something like this. Before that, I would google before pressing the buttons so that there is an understanding of what you are doing so as not to break anything.
