How to disable Gnome Display Manager from loading?

The server does not start because of this, how to disable the loading of Gnome Display Manager? That's how it hangs and that's it.

run in runlevel 3 - https://www.itzgeek.com/how-tos/linux/centos-how-t... (can be changed to rescue mode)

sudo systemctl set-default multi-user.target
sudo systemctl disable gdm
