How to directly connect the server to storage without a 10Gbps switch?

Good afternoon. Is it possible to directly connect a server that has a 10G optical SR network card to a storage system that also has two 10G ports. There are 2 servers with single port cards in the configuration.
Purely theoretically: I need 2 transceivers for servers and two transceivers for storage and 4 optical LC / LC cables, is that right?

Yes, you can, provided that the network adapters support these transceiver models.
