How to diagnose and fix crashes?
Ubuntu 16.04 OS with all the latest updates, from time to time something happens and the screen goes blank, as a result of which you have to restart the computer, although the programs work. As far as I understood from kern.log, the issue is with the video card (~ Radeon 7800) and the video driver is crashing. Now the drivers are standard, once I wanted to install proprietary ones from AMD, but after that the computer did not boot at all. What can be done to more accurately diagnose the problem and fix it?
kern.log

Hello,
1. Install and configure kdump.
2. After the crash, a dump will be created in /var/crash, which can be analyzed by the crash utility.
