How to develop iOS and Android applications with AIR/Starling?
Need advice. The task is to develop an application for touch devices. The application is a specialized graphics editor, pure 2D, with a bunch of mathematical calculations. I already did it in ActionScript 3 a few years ago. Now we need a new version that would work on everything, not just in a browser with a flash player.
There was a proposal to write an AIR application using Starling. I really want to leave everything in ActionScript 3, I love this language and development tools. But how is AIR/Starling performing on iOS and Android? The smoothness of drawing is critical for me. Can you express your views?

Well, if smoothness is critical, then AIR is definitely not worth using.
Look towards Cocos2d-x or Marmalade (Quick). ActionScript is easier to rewrite in Lua than in C++.
