In fact, I saw two ways.
1. The programmer learns to admin (usually mediocre)
2. The admin learns to code (also mediocre)
Next, specific tools are studied - ansible, docker, and so on.
In general, first you become either an administrator or a programmer, and then it will be clear.
From books - "Philosophy of DevOps" and guides on specific software.
There are no clear paths yet.
It's easier to be already a developer (python/ruby/go) and take care of the infrastructure. The main thing is to get a job at least somewhere, at least for free, as soon as possible in order to get adequate experience.
Books and courses without real problems are just interesting stories.
I advise you to first settle in Linux and Bash, these are the basics of the basics. Then read something about Docker. Then learn to code in Python/Go. Maybe write a small application and try to host it somewhere. After that, you can take this AWS course, where you will create a fake project with the instructor. After that, you can try to get an internship
