How to Desaturate a Smart Object in Photoshop CC?

Please tell me if there is a possibility in Photoshop to discolor the image inserted as a smart object.

Create on top of the adjustment layer "Hue / saturation", in the properties of this layer, click clip to layer (square with a down arrow), remove the saturation to zero.

Set these values, and switch to ctrl+y when you want to see the image in black and white.
