How to delete files using Mac OS scripts?

I'm new to Mac OS, and immediately got up with a problem. There was a need to remove all files from the installed program. I read about scripts on the forums, but unfortunately I didn’t find where to learn them. Please help with a simple example and, if possible, links to literature about scripts.
