How to delete data without the possibility of recovery?

How can you delete files from a disk so that they cannot be restored in any way? And I would also like to know how to delete information about already deleted files? For example: I deleted a file from a flash drive, but it can still be recovered. how to make a file unrecoverable?

When deleting files, they are not actually removed from the disk, only information about their location is deleted.
To delete data permanently, you just need to -

  1. Repartition disk - delete all partitions and recreate. This is to remove shadow copies, if any.
  2. Completely fill the disk with any data - for example, burn movies on it. This will physically remove the old data from the disk as it will be overwritten by the new data.
  3. Delete unnecessary films or whatever you recorded
For example: I deleted a file from a flash drive, but it can still be
If you do not want to do a complete repartition of the disk, manually make sure that there are no shadow copies, then write any data to the disk to fill up all the free space, and then delete unnecessary data.

If this is a document or picture, then open it in the editor and change it beyond recognition, then save it. The new file should be the same size, or larger, or at least not much smaller.
This is the easiest way. Overwritten old data is almost impossible to recover.

When files are deleted, they are not actually deleted, but the space they occupy is simply marked as free.
While nothing has been written to this place - the data can be restored with one or another completeness. If immediately, then 100% possible.
The simplest way is to overwrite the entire volume of the flash drive from above.
In general, there are special utilities that will do this themselves and several more times. Search for the word wipe data
For example, BCWipe

1. Quick media format.
2. Writing on it while something harmless type of Linux distribution is climbing (or vice versa, an offensive type of porn :) )
