How to decide on a processor?

Hello! I decided to replace my Core 2 Duo with a Core i5 Skylake. The old chip has already outlived its usefulness and needs to be replaced, along with the motherboard. With the help of the websiteI chose the latest generation i5, which suits me for the price and computing capabilities. The cost varies depending on the store, but you can choose the one that suits you. I liked two options: 6600 and 6500, but which one would be ideal, I can not understand. The first one has a slightly higher maximum frequency - by 0.3 GHz, but the price is also the same. I wonder if this difference will be felt in normal operation? Or only if you launch new games? I know that both have the possibility of an emergency increase in frequency (Turbo mode), so it seems that the chips will behave almost the same. If anyone uses one of these solutions, help decide. I also found a difference between the models in the multiplier: 6600 has 33, and 6500 has 32. The difference is one value, I think it’s not very important for the average user. Or am I still wrong?
