How to debug simulator window size in Xcode?

Good evening everyone!
I'm discovering work in xcode for the first time and I just can't figure out the simulator. Whatever device I choose, the window is always gigantic in size, it is not convenient to work with such devices (at that time, everything is adequately displayed by the "teacher" in the video). I myself came to the conclusion that perhaps these devices come with Retina, and my monitor is the most ordinary and modest 24 inches, and the size of the retina window does not fit there.
What I want to ask: what and where to set up in the simulator to ignore the retina or shrink the window 2 times? Is this realistic or will you have to be content with such a large simulator on a non-retinoscreen?
Xcode is the latest version from the store, there is no monitor with a retina, because it's Mac mini.
Thanks to!

So far found "Window - Scale - 50%"
But maybe there are other options?

Windows scale only. The "teachers" have better devices :)
And run the simulator for 5s or 4s. The smallest supported screens.

Is Xcode exactly the latest version, 7.3.1? Around 7.1, the stimulator has added scale33%, and even scale25%
