How to deal with fullhd on laptop 15.6?

It so happened that I got a 15.6 laptop with fullhd (1920x1080).
When possible, I connect it to a 24-inch monitor. Win7, as far as I understand, is not optimized for this resolution at 15 inches.
Without a monitor, I turn on 125%, manually increase the font in ide, set it to 120% in chrome. Skype makes me want to cry.
Please share the OS settings for comfortable work with fullhd on a small screen.
PS holivars about the fact that fullhd for monitors 24 and above, please do not breed. On poppies at 13 inches 2500 and looks great.
