How to deal with domain and hosting?

Hello. Need help, even more advice. In general, there is a client. Engaged in food delivery, there is a website. The client can be called simply: "make a website - here's your money." And they did it, did it and forgot, but only not everyone gave him access (from hosting, domain). And now he has run out of a domain, he gives me his access, transfers money to hosting, but I can’t renew, I don’t have rights. Well, I say, look for the one who did all this for you initially, or ask the business owner and ask him for access or replenish., Because your account is not the main one.

In short, my mother’s businessman, who most likely registered this with him, asks for money to renew the domain, and asks for a card and, of course, more than the service itself costs, well, the classic of the genre says that there is no money on hosting, only for need a card. As far as I understand, this is called "arrive". Giving money is not an option, as the businessman will smoke that he can pull more just by scaring him. (Hosting and domain in one place were taken).

What is the best thing to do in such a situation? Just pull the database and everything that is, register everything again, with a new domain name? But this is not only a minus of the organic issue, but they also have a bunch of outdoor ads. Or wait until the domain evaporates and buy it back, like in this case the losses will be minimal. And how long can you wait before re-registration? Maybe some other options?

Just buy data from the main account and immediately change passwords and contact information. Treat it as the cost of your mistake. All other options, unfortunately, are more likely to add a lot of crap and hit the business. But if the blackmailer asks for too much money, then raise the contracts / correspondence on which the work was carried out, record all communication and contact the police.
