How to deal with backup growth in Veeam?

There is a virtual machine with Centos 7.
Only about 3 gigs are occupied on it.

df -h
Файловая система Размер Использовано Дост Использовано% Cмонтировано в
/dev/sda2 20G 3,0G 17G 16% /
devtmpfs 489M 0 489M 0% /dev
tmpfs 497M 0 497M 0% /dev/shm
tmpfs 497M 51M 447M 11% /run
tmpfs 497M 0 497M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda1 497M 136M 362M 28% /boot

But when creating a full backup, a 7.6G file is obtained.
What should be done so that the size does not exceed the occupied disk space?
PS Well, I gave this as an example. But generally the same and on screw virtualka.
One has only to write down some data, then delete it, then the size of the backup increases significantly.

Looks very strange. What platform are you using? Thin/thick rims? Is there exactly one VM in the job? What version of Veeam?
