How to customize the bootstrap grid if half of the grid has 6 columns and half has 4?

So far, I have been making up the usual layouts, consisting of 12 columns. Now I've got a layout that half consists of 6 and the other half has 4 columns.

How to proceed in this case?
It is clear that at the beginning I will build a grid of 6 columns, and when I get to 4, I will just have to improvise, or what?
