How to create images using templated database?

I create posters and posters for the same type of events. I have ready-made psd templates, where layers and text are selected for work. I need to automate and speed up the process of creating images using a database or API, so that the right images and text are displayed when selected. Tell me, please, is there any software for this or plugins? By the way, this is Photoshop - not a prerequisite for work, you can get by with other software.

inDesign allows you to connect a database, and an illustrator, it seems ... if you need it for printing.
If you have images for the web, I would stuff everything into SVG. Through a script, I would insert text with a picture in the right places, or layout, it can also be assembled.
