How to create and link a database for Yii2?

I just started learning MySQL in connection with installing an application on a server with the Yii2 framework Installation
page:

Created a database in mysql, conditionally asdfbase without tables
Also asdf user with pass password with access to all tables
I enter all the data accordingly.
Name: asdfbase
login: asdf
password: pass
Then it gives an error

can it connect to the database?
