How to create an ext4 partition on an NTFS disk?
So there is such a task. Installed timeshift in ubuntu for system backup. I have one external disk 150 gigs with ntfs file system, about 30 gigs are occupied. Timeshift doesn't want to write to it because it asks for a Linux file system. How to create a partition and convert it to ext4 and not delete data?
Are there any good articles on this?

take Gparted or Acronis disk director or some other partition manager program.
defragment ntfs first, then all files will be moved to the beginning of the disk (it will be easier later).
reduce the size of the ntfs partition with the partition manager (gparted I adequately resized ntfs a month ago)
make a partition with ext4 in the free space.
