I propose the simplest option in thesis:
- The Internet connection is established on the main wifi router (modem)
- If there is a free LAN port in the main modem, we connect the main and second wifi modem LAN-LAN.
!!! If there is no local port, and there is no additional switch, you will have to configure the local network via wifi. The second modem must support wifi WDS with AP modes (bridge + access point)
- On the second modem, we prescribe a static IP for the LAN connection from the subnet of the main modem. The gateway and DNS prescribe the IP of the main modem.
- Set up Wifi on an additional modem. It is preferable to select a different SSID and a different IP subnet. DHCP server should be used only for wi-fi.
If we are talking about ADSL modems, then in the 2nd in the settings disable DHCP, configure WiFi, connect with a wire to the first modem, like a computer.
It will work in Access Point mode. if the first modem is configured as a Router.
