How to create a vsftpd user and give it access to /var/www?

Hello.
Tell me what commands you need to write in order to create a new user who will have access to the / var / www folder - this is the place where all folders with sites are located. So that the user can create, delete and edit folders and files. It's even better for me if the user has access to the entire server, so that it's easier to edit the configs.

It would seem that this is a basic need for FTP, but I can not find a single instruction on the net that would say how to implement this.
There, either: And let's create a user and give him access to the ftp folder, in which there is nothing and which has not surrendered to anyone
Either:And let's create a user, but so that he does not have any rights to edit, otherwise he will delete something superfluous (why the hell do I need him then?),
sorry. bombing me.

I have ubuntu 20 and apache.

Please write what needs to be done in the console or send a link to the instructions please

sftp brother, just use the ssh login and password in the ftp client instead of ftp -> sftp and that's it, you don't need to do anything.
If you need an ftp client, then here is

the only thing it is sharpened for bitirx vm, but in fact you need to determine instead of the user Bitrix, the user from which you are launching Apache.
most likely you have www-data un and you have your own path to the folder, respectively

FTP never had the basic need to edit a site folder... where did you get that from anyway))
FTP was invented for transferring files. And how, where and what to transfer - this is already an administrator must understand, know and configure
Why would you need to raise FTP when sFTP is already built in?))
Create a user on the server for ssh.
Add it to the www-data group and that's it
