How to create a theme for WordPress using BEM?

As part of the training, I decided to make a topic on the methodology, I have already implemented part of it, but the further you go, the more impressions you get, but BEM cannot be implemented without dozens of crutches and reworking the WordPress core.
On the BEM forum, the last mention of WordPress was in 2011, blogs are mostly water without examples, silence is also on the Toaster.
No one tried to typeset topics according to the methodology? Does anyone have experience?
How, for example, to be with tags which are added in the content editor? According to the canon, tags without classes should not exist.

BEM is good for large portals, I don’t see much point in using it on regular sites, for most sites on wp it’s useless.
