I want to take seriously front-end development, but here's the problem - I absolutely can't create a site layout, according to which it will be possible to make up a site in the future.
Please advise:

• Books to create a beautiful site layout;
  
• Programs for Linux Ubuntu, where you can design a layout similar to Adobe Photoshop in Windows;
  
• Share your knowledge, what else you need to know for this, if you need to do only 2 - 3 projects yourself.
  

In the future, I don’t plan to do this professionally, but for myself I want to learn at least the basics in order to create a complete couple of my projects.

You need to start not with beautiful layouts, but with the basics of layout and understanding of the browser as a whole.

To draw beautifully and correctly, unfortunately, it is not enough to read one or two books. It takes years of practice and a mountain of theory along with experience. Everything is the same as with the code, there is no difference.
