How to create a server on pc?

Hello, can someone tell me how to store the site on a separate computer, the fact is that the site works with images, there are 20 thousand more of them every day, and registrars have restrictions on the number of files and each time they have to pay more and more, which makes no sense, besides, the maximum number they have is about 10 million files . Is it possible to open a site from your own PC, which one is needed, how difficult is it to implement and what are the disadvantages compared to registrar services?

Not registrars, but hosters, nevertheless.
Restrictions, usually on the total size and not the number of files. If this is not the case in your case, you may just need to change the host.
Solutions to the problem:
First of all, it is better to find an adequate hoster, the tariff and restrictions of which will suit you. Just because the other options will be more difficult and not the fact that it is cheaper.
The second option is renting a vps, or even a server. It will need to be tuned, it will need to be monitored. To do this, you need a lot of knowledge, respectively, you will have to pay someone for this work.
Home hosting is a bad idea:
Buying a computer and meeting the minimum requirements will cover hosting costs for many years, if not decades. =) I.e. it will and will work so-so, and will not be profitable.

Try to solve your issue through OPEN SERVER, it has all the necessary functions and programs to run your own server. For example, I started my server using open server. In the settings I changed all available ip addresses, in aliases I specified the path to the root folder of the site and the site itself, I received a temporary domain with a period of 30 days, I bought a static ip address from my provider, I opened port 80 in the router settings, all the problem is solved. I fully agree with Boris Syomov, you will always have to keep your computer on.

You assemble a powerful computer, or buy a full-fledged server, if the light and the provider are not a problem, you start it at home and rejoice. To run the server, you will need to install server software, an operating system, and so on. By the way, I have been keeping all the sites on my own server at home for a long time, the uptime is of course lower, and the channel is small, but this is enough for me.
