How to create a product catalog in Bitrix?

My task is this. You need to create a product catalog. I have already created it and displayed it on the site, but I can’t figure out how to properly format it.

My directory is a vertical menu with dropdowns, which is very similar to vertical_multilevel (Inline template), but the styles should be different.

What needs to be done so that I can apply my styles to this menu? I do not want to override the styles that are currently in the template. I understand that this is not quite the correct method of development.
